European football: Atlético Madrid beat Getafe while Dortmund draw at home

  • Sørloth moves Atlético above Real Madrid into second
  • Hoffenheim snatch 1-1 draw with Bruun Larsen’s leveller

Alexander Sørloth came off the bench to score with a header late in the second half and give Atlético Madrid a hard-fought 1-0 win over Getafe in La Liga, their 11th consecutive triumph in all competitions.

Atlético went level with Barcelona at the top of the standings before the leaders’ home game against Leganés on Sunday night on 38 points, moving above Real Madrid who are third on 37.
